High Pressure Propane Installation

STATIONARY

All HIGH PRESSURE PROPANE kits are packaged for stationary use and most customers purchase the  connection hose and quick disconnect for this easy connection.  .  Most often STATIONARY propane systems will have a high pressure regulator at the tank and a low pressure regulator where the gas enters the home. The basic TYPE 1 and TYPE 2  Kit is designed to tie into the gas line from the high pressure side of the system, between the propane tanks and the home.   This same generator can be used portably and a PGK accessory is required and can be found on our accessories page.

To use your generator portably as shown:

12hp or smaller engine order a Type A, B, C or C Kit and the NPSK 6' or 12' hose accessory

13hp or larger engine order a Type 1 or 2 and the PGK 6' or 12' hose accessory

13hp or larger engine order a Type 3 or 4 and the NPSK 6' or 12' hose accessory

PORTABLE

All LOW PRESSURE PROPANE kits are also packaged for stationary use and most customers also order the  1/2" connection hoses, 1/2" quick disconnect or other accessories.  As mentioned above, most often, STATIONARY propane systems will have a high pressure regulator at the tank and a low pressure regulator where the gas enters the home. Some just have a single low pressure regulator at the tank (like campers with a change over 2 stage regulator and bbq-grills with a silver single stage regulator, etc.) The basic Type A KIT and Type C KIT and the TYPE 3 and TYPE 4 KITS are designed to tie into the gas line at the LOW pressure side of the system.  The low pressure is regulator where the gas enters the home.   This same generator can be used portably and an NPSK accessory is required and can be found on our accessories page.

As mentioned, the same generator can also be used portably as described below.

All kit types also allow the generator to be used portably with propane cylinders of any size.  This requires a PGK for high pressure Type 1 and 2 kits or NPSK for low pressure Type 3, 4 and the Type A and C kits. These accessories have everything needed to use a generator on portable bottles or to allow a permanently installed generator to be disconnected and used portably with any size of portable LP Gas cylinder.

Low Pressure Propane Installation

If you want to connect to the Low Pressure side of a LP Gas system, then a Low Pressure Propane Kit will be required.  The Type 3 and 4 kits and the Type A and C Kit s are for low pressure propane which is the same kits used for natural gas.
